About Elves
· Elves are immortal and do not physically age.
· Elves do not grow weak as they age, only wiser and more beautiful than before.
· Elves have more beauty than any creatures on earth, but they also possess the most extreme happiness and sorrow.
· Elves excel in speech, song and poetry
· They were the first people on earth to speak with voices and no earthly creatures before them sang
· They typically have fair complexions and coloring, with a few exceptions like the Elven Princess Arwen, who was noted for her rare and unusual dark beauty
· In war, Elves can be killed with fire or steel and some have been known to die from grief
· Elves are surrounded by a light similar to that of a glowing moon, like Queen Galadriel is sometimes referred to as the "Lady of Light"
· Queen Galadriel was the bearer of one of the three Elf rings, Nenya. Nenya’s power enabled the Mirror of Galadriel to see into the future and also gives Galadriel the power of mind to visualize Sauron’s moves
· Elves speak both the Quenya and Sindarin language (Sindarin is the more modern language that is used in The Lord of the Rings film trilogy)
